Introduction of Snyder-Girotti Elementary Administration

Julie Balcer





Mrs. Balcer is a dedicated and passionate educator with a long-standing commitment to the Bristol Borough School District. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Immaculata University and a Master's degree from Chestnut Hill College. She is enrolled in the doctoral program for Education Administration at Gwynedd Mercy University, where she already completed her Principal Certification.

Mrs. Balcer began her educational journey in 2009 at Snyder-Girotti Elementary School. Over the past 15 years, she has made significant contributions as a 6th-grade teacher, a 5th-grade special education teacher, and later as a kindergarten teacher. In the past year, she has served as Dean of Students and Acting Principal of Snyder-Girotti, demonstrating her leadership skills and dedication to the school community.

Residing in Bristol Borough, Mrs. Balcer's roots run deep within the community, instilling in her a profound sense of responsibility toward its students and faculty. Eager to continue her journey at Snyder-Girotti Elementary School, she eagerly anticipates collaborating with stakeholders to cultivate an environment that fosters both academic excellence and holistic growth for all.



Danielle Leyrer





Mrs. Leyrer is a dedicated educator who is committed to empowering students and educators by fostering a supporting and enriching learning environment. She earned her bachelor's degree in education from Millersville University. She completed her masters degree and Principal Certification at Pennsylvania Western University - California.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Leyrer found a passion for leadership. She began her education journey teaching English Language Arts in West Philadelphia where she took on leadership opportunities including being part of the MTSS team for academics and behavior, developing SWPBIS plans, and writing curriculum at the middle school level.

In 2020, Mrs. Leyrer was given the opportunity to work as the eighth grade English Language Arts teacher at Bristol Junior-Senior High School where she also filled the role as eighth grade chairperson. Since January, Mrs. Leyrer has had the pleasure of working as Acting Vice Principal at Snyder-Girotti Elementary School and is excited to continue.

Mrs. Leyrer has spent most of her educational career in small community schools and believes passionately in the unique strengths of Bristol Borough School District. Mrs. Leyrer is committed to fostering an inclusive school environment where differences are respected and all voices are heard and she understands that small community schools offer more than just education - the close-knit relationships cultivate a sense of belonging and support that empowers all students to succeed academically and personally
